33 Weeks Pregnant

I am now 33 weeks pregnant and I am still feeling pretty good (besides the whole uncomfortable oh-my-gosh-my-belly-is-huge-i-cant-get-around feeling of course) No major swelling, no backache, only slight heartburn. I'm pretty fortunate to feel as good as I do. I am just incredibly exhausted all the time and well, big.

The baby was head down and getting ready at my last doctors appointment. The Doc said there is a chance the baby could still switch positions but they don't worry about that until 36 weeks. I figured she was head down because she keeps kicking my ribs and upper belly. She is so active I wonder if she ever sleeps!

Kesar and I had the tour of the hospital this past week. It's a new building so it's very updated and beautiful! I get my own room and everything happens in the same room. Labor, Delivery and Rest! There is even a place for the baby to be monitored and weighed so the baby never has to leave the room unless Mommy needs some rest or if there is something wrong. It was kind of surreal taking the tour. There are still these moments I get that reminds me that this is all VERY real and in less than two months I'll have a baby girl!

I've slowly been working on the nursery. We don't plan on having her sleep there for a couple months so I am only doing a little bit at a time. I am not really aiming for a "theme", I just buy and do what I think looks nice! The only things I want to do yet are put some things on the wall, which will probably be photo's of Aubrey and art prints I found on Etsy right here in purple, yellow and green.

We have our internet connection hooked up in this room, so we obviously have to get that little black box on the dresser with the cords moved!

And that's me, of course, at 33 weeks. I really am "all belly" even though I've gained very generously through out the pregnancy!

Till next time!

31 Weeks Pregnant

As of today I am exactly 31 weeks pregnant and doing good! I have had it pretty easy with the pregnancy. In the beginning I only had very slight nausea but major backaches. The middle of the pregnancy was pretty easy, just the slight cramping here and there and now, into the third trimester, I have heartburn, swelling and trouble sleeping. The heartburn is still pretty bearable, I control it mostly with the the occasional tums. My hands started really swelling a month ago and I had to stop wearing my rings, and now by the end of the day my feet are throbbing and I can not wait to prop them up! I'm sure the summer heat doesn't help but I do my best by wearing sneakers as much as I can, which seems to provide a little bit more comfort than flip flops. The lack of sleeping is due to my constant need of still having to pee every hour during the night. Above all of this I am surviving just fine and still think I have had a pretty easy pregnancy!

My due date is August 17th and medically every thing looks great! I've gained more than what the doctor wants me to but I'm not letting it get to me or stress me out. I'll work my butt off after the baby comes to lose any weight I've gained and I am not worried at all.

I'm still working but it's starting to become VERY physically exhausting. I work with a bunch of 1 year olds, so the constant getting up and down off the floor, bending over to pick up things and just keeping up with them is really hard the bigger I get. Kesar wants me to just quit now (since I don't plan on going back after Aubrey comes) but I'm trying to hold out to at least July 20th. Every paycheck counts when it comes to getting ready for the baby!

29 Weeks

Now that I have entered my third trimester I really need to be better about writing!

Right now I am 29 weeks. I have to see the doctor every 2 weeks now since I have entered my third trimester. Symptom wise I'm pretty good. I do get heartburn a lot, but if I eat a couple of tums it seems to help. Everyone tells me that the heartburn is only going to get worse! My feet get swollen occasionally, but its usually only on the weekends when I'm wearing flip flops or up walking around a lot.

Kesar is finally able to feel Aubrey kick on a consistent basis. Last night he was able to feet her kick a lot, and watch her move through my belly as well! At night if I am laying down I can watch my stomach move like a wave. It's so amazing to think our daughter is in there squirming around. It just made me tearing eyed! Oh, the emotions have come back full force as well!

The doctor has been on my case a tad bit about my weight. Instead of the 1lb a week they want me to gain, I've been gaining about 1.5lb a week. I blame it on the sweets I am still indulging in. But I have to stop! I took the glucose test last week (the drink was not bad at all) and I will hear any abnormal results early next week. If not, I'll hear the good news that I am diabetes free on June 14th when I go back for my next appointment. Her heartbeat went down a little, it was 140 bpm (17 beats down from last time) this isn't a big deal, as long it stays above 130 or something like that) The doctor said heartbeats fluctuate all the time.

Until next time!
